In February this year, our flagship showroom introduced the Pure handleless range to it’s collection. At John Lewis of Hungerford we have been using handleless kitchens in many of our designs for the past few years, but this is the first time it has been introduced to the normally very traditional showroom in Hungerford.
With Hungerford being in the heart of the countryside, surrounded by estates and period properties, our traditional Shaker & Artisan kitchens are usually the most fitting style of kitchen for this particular area. However, it’s countryside location does not mean everyone is after the traditional look. People are moving towards a more modern style of living and looking to bring a contemporary feel into their home.
This style of kitchen is simple, elegant and designed to give the ‘wow’ factor. What’s great about the handleless range is that the cabinets come in two parts, the front and the handle rebate, allowing you to style each part in a different colour. The rebates are currently available in Oak or Walnut, or can be painted to the colour of your choice. Being able to choose a different colour for the rebate is ideal for those who just want to add a splash of colour to your chosen kitchen.
The stunning worktop of this kitchen is made from ultra thin, man-made Neolith, a combination of glass, porcelain and stone. The characteristics of this material are extraordinary; heat resistant, scratch resistant and impervious to UV rays to name a few, making it ideal for kitchen use.
Handles are now a kitchen choice, not a necessity. The handleless look makes a kitchen, clean, uncluttered and timeless. If you are looking to achieve the contemporary look in your kitchen, this is definitely a style worth considering.
